Google Chat Integration

Send Entropy Data notifications directly to your Google Chat spaces by setting up a Notification Channel with a Google Chat webhook URL.

Setup

1. Create a Google Chat Webhook

Create a webhook in your Google Chat space:

  1. Open Google Chat and navigate to the desired space
  2. Click "Apps & integrations" at the top of the space
  3. Select "Add webhooks"
  4. Enter "Entropy Data Notifications" as the name for the webhook
  5. Optionally add an avatar URL for the webhook
  6. Click "Save"
  7. Copy the generated webhook URL (it will look like: https://chat.googleapis.com/v1/spaces/SPACE_ID/messages?key=KEY&token=TOKEN)

2. Add Notification Channel in Entropy Data

Configure the notification channel in Entropy Data:

  1. Go to your Team Page in Entropy Data
  2. Click "Add Notification Channel" in the right sidebar
  3. Select "Google Chat" as the platform
  4. Enter "Google Chat" as the name
  5. Paste the webhook URL from Google Chat
  6. Click "Test" to send a sample notification
  7. Save the notification channel
